4. Assemble & level

Mechanical inspection and square gantry — power off.

⚠ Caution — Keep clear of motion

Never work under a moving gantry or place hands near racks, pinions, belts, bearings, torch lifters, or cable chains while energized.

1. Power-off mechanical inspection
Follow Chapter 4.1. Your model packing order and fastening torque come from Premier machine docs — do not invent fastener specs here.
- Shipping restraints removed; racks/rails/slats clear
- Gantry sits square; bearings/blocks engaged
- Rack and pinion engaged full travel without binding or excess backlash
- Motor mounts, couplers, set screws, torch mount, breakaway, Z mechanism checked
- Cables and air lines have slack at both travel extremes
2. Level and square
Level the frame per Premier procedure for your table. Square the gantry using the approved physical reference. Equal diagonals on a large rectangle later prove square after motion is live.
Tip: Move accessible axes only by the approved manual method. Do not force a powered or braked motor.
