Proma Compact THC SD baselines

Premier SPE, d-t, H-U, dir, and example voltage — verify on your machine.

⚠ Safety — Hazardous voltage

Never touch THC arc-voltage terminals while energized. Raw plasma arc voltage can cause severe injury or death. Only a qualified person should connect arc-voltage wiring.

⚠ Caution — One change at a time

Record the starting condition, make one controlled change, and test again. Restore the original setting if the change did not help.

ℹ Note — Your machine profile wins

Machine-specific profiles, wiring diagrams, pin maps, motor tuning, and cut charts always override generic examples. Escalate when unsure.

Symptom

Need known-good Proma starting values before tuning height.

Quick checks

  • ☐Record every current Proma value before editing
  • ☐Confirm only one voltage input method (raw OR 1:50 divided — never both)
  • ☐Exit tSt before any live cut

Fix

Premier baselines

Machine-specific records override these.

  • SPE: 97–98 (if slow on warp, test toward 105–107; watch hunting)
  • d-t: 0.9–1.0 s after main-arc detection
  • H-U: 200 V default baseline for many setups — change only with evidence
  • dir: often −1 but MUST verify with tSt — never assume
  • tSt 1–10 with plasma OFF to prove UP raises / DOWN lowers torch

Example voltage (NOT universal)

Prior Premier example: ~98–99 V on 3/16" mild steel at ~61 A with a known-good Everlast setup. Your target must come from YOUR stable cut at correct physical height.

Display

Dashes = no input. Fast blink = pilot. Steady = main arc. Unstable/impossible = stop correction; check wiring/process.
