Air, plasma, and consumables

Dynamic air, matching tips, work lead, square torch, voltage input notes.

⚠ Safety — Hazardous voltage

Never touch THC arc-voltage terminals while energized. Raw plasma arc voltage can cause severe injury or death. Only a qualified person should connect arc-voltage wiring.

ℹ Note — Your machine profile wins

Machine-specific profiles, wiring diagrams, pin maps, motor tuning, and cut charts always override generic examples. Escalate when unsure.

Symptom

Weak cut, no transfer, or plasma faults related to air or torch parts.

Quick checks

  • ☐Air flowing at required dynamic pressure during cut
  • ☐Drain tanks/traps; dry oil-free supply
  • ☐Consumables match selected amperage — no mixed sets
  • ☐Work lead on clean metal

Fix

Process

Use exact plasma cut chart for model/torch/amps/material. Torch square in both axes. Correct cutting vs expanded-metal mode.

Arc voltage to Proma

Use exact connector diagram for your plasma revision — never pins by color. One method only: approved raw OR approved divided (Proma 1:50). Never both. Qualified person only for arc-voltage wiring.
